It's pretty empty in here. Maybe that's a good thing.

When did you go complete/UR? Also, in the 2010 thread, someone said (presumably was told during the interview) that Duke interviews two to three times the number of people they plan to accept. Good luck.bertmacklin wrote:Got a request to interview! Anyone else get one or know anymore information about it?

Been complete for a few weeks and UR for over a week I think. That seems a little disheartening

Re: Duke Law Transfer
Good news berk! I've always thought of Duke as sort of the Yale of the south. I've yet to go complete because my school has not updated the cumulative class rank yet.
I tried talking with Duke and letting them know that I was ranked 7/26X first semester and then I booked all my classes second semester, but to no avail. They need the cumulative rank. My TTTT is acting TTTTT... it's almost July.

I'm sorry about that situation, do you live near the school do talk to them in person?

Re: Duke Law Transfer
Wasn't meant to be disheartening, I just know that it's a formality at some schools, required for admission at some schools, and not required to be admitted but they interview some and not others. I was trying to add perspective. I'm sure you'll do well.bertmacklin wrote:Been complete for a few weeks and UR for over a week I think. That seems a little disheartening

Re: Duke Law Transfer
I interviewed with them two years ago. It was very short, to-the-point, and straightforward. Don't remember the exact questions, but it was basically: why duke specifically? What are your employment plans? Any connections to Duke? And that's about all I remember. Then the interviewer gave me some background on Duke and transfers. All in all, not a painful experience.
Good luck!
