Not a single note. If a thank you note at the screener level differentiates me, I probably deserve to be screened.

In the similar situation. Do you have any job exp? How many preselects and alts did you receive?Anonymous User wrote:Bottom 1/5 of the class = no hope? During 1L, I was receiving medical treatment for an illness that is now in remission, but I feel like I've closed the door to big law for good. Any hope of redemption?
0 CBs anticipated. .

Re: UVA Law OGI 2017
Anyone else getting discouraged? My grades are just a hair below median and I think I'm pretty personable, but I only have one callback so far, despite targeting large, less-selective NYC firms.
Trying to stay positive but it's frustrating seeing everyone in the halls talking about callbacks and dinners and offers.

Me neither. Im told you can lose an offer over a thank you note bc of a typo or something you say but you cant get an offer because of that thank you note.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:are you guys writing thank you notes after your interviews?

Don't get discouraged! It's still early in the process, and it only takes one offer for things to come together. I would just mass mail and keep an eye on postings in Symplicity. Also, reach out to OCS so you're on their radar for people to watch out for, and let them know you're hustling. Every year people get offers from big law firms WELL into October. It's way too early to get discouraged. Press on.

Re: UVA Law OGI 2017
Has anyone heard anything else from CA? Only Latham SF and Cooley SF? I interviewed with one of them but I knew no CB was to follow. The interviewer made sure I understood s/he wasn't interested (i.e. interviewer didn't ask me anything and pretty much said "let me know if you have any questions"). My GPA is below the median, and I had the same approach in every interview so I don't know how that played out. Super stressed rn..Anonymous User wrote:CBs from Latham and Cooley. Keep in mind that callbacks will trickle down as people start accepting offers and letting firms know. If you haven't been dinged, the game isn't over.
