First insight: shorter posts get more responses because people are actually willing to read them.

Now, to answer your question. Your GPA sucks, and it's not getting too much better. Also, your "softs" don't sound all that exciting either. You're getting in based on how high you can get that LSAT, so study up. This should be your primary concern, as you'll be below the 25% GPA mark for just about any school you're interested in, with a 3.19 or a 3.31.

Schools will want your fall semester grades, to be sure. And at least some of your schools won't make their decisions until the new year and you will have time to send them an updated transcript. But in your case, applying early far outweighs the slight GPA increase by waiting to send transcripts in January. If you're really concerned about this, why not stay in school through the spring semester taking easy classes to boost the GPA and apply the following cycle?

Then you might be talking 3.19 --> 3.4x. That is a big difference. Sure that means starting law school in two years, but most people starting this year are pretty fearful of the employment backlog.
