My organization on campus is going. I can't go without missing (important) class. It's still up in the air for me.

I'm going! But I don't think I'll spend much time at the forum--mainly going as a excuse to eat (not at the forum)

Yeah. I'm going as an excuse to go to NYC. Also, to kiss some admissions ass.

It's for ALL schools. Every school will have a table, and there are workshops like "Admissions 101" or "What lawyers do".
Basically a powwow for law school applicants.

Also, a ton of admissions reps. Which is primarily why I'm going. Fee waivers and such.Curious1 wrote:It's for ALL schools. Every school will have a table, and there are workshops like "Admissions 101" or "What lawyers do".

I live in NYC, and this sounds like something I'd like to go to. I'm assuming I can find more info on LSAC site.

Re: LSAC Forum in New York next month?
I went to the one in Boston a few days ago, it was pretty interesting. Nothing mindblowing, but the "workshops" were somewhat useful (I attended the one about the application process and the one about the LSAT). Come prepared with questions/conversation-starters for reps though, I started off going up to a few of them and being like "Hi, can you tell me about your school? "-What would you like to know in particular?" "Uhh... is it a big school?"
Also people apparently dress up for these things.

Re: LSAC Forum in New York next month?
I'm signed up for the NYC one. Going on Saturday because I already took enough Fridays off from work because of the LSAT.
I'm thinking of going since it's a quick train away, but dunno. Is it worth it?

NYC is always fun! But apparently you can get facetime with adcomms and fee waivers galore.Kess wrote:I'm signed up for the NYC one. Going on Saturday because I already took enough Fridays off from work because of the LSAT.

What day are people planning on going?

I'll be there on Saturday. My flight doesn't get in until late Friday night.

Saturday. Even though I've heard Friday is less crowded of the two days, but I don't want to take off yet another day from work.
You're not flying in especially for this, are you?

Re: LSAC Forum in New York next month?
I'm using this as an excuse. I have a friend at NYU Law that I can stay with, and I love NYC. Also, got my flight for $5 (thanks, frequent flier program!).Kess wrote:Saturday. Even though I've heard Friday is less crowded of the two days, but I don't want to take off yet another day from work.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
