Re: In a Kentucky!
I got the email as well! Life long KY resident here, and I applied as a safety, but good to know I have a place in KY if I decide to stay.

Congrats! I've heard basically nothing from them so far (applied 10/15).

I got in as well... UK is one of my top choices but I was wondering if any of you knew any information about the school (good or bad).

Excellent school if you want to practice in Kentucky. Hard to find a school that would place you better in the state. All the major Kentucky firms draw heavily from there.slainte wrote:I got in as well... It's a very regional school, though, so if you want to practice outside of Kentucky finding a job is going to range from more difficult to much more difficult.

Re: In at Kentucky!
congrats! i'm waiting on UK. went there for undergrad, like someone said before, very regional school but you can't beat it in the state (with exception to vandy). facilities are a little outdated, but a decent campus. lexington is a good sized town with enough to do (SEC football in the fall, basketball to get you through winter, keeneland in the spring).

Doubtful. I know they have been planning on this for a while, but everyone I know at UK law says it's not happening (lack of funding, the bureaucracy that exists in getting stuff done at UK). Plus, UK is throwing almost all of its funding and resources into the expansion of the University Hospital right now (and a new B&E building is on the horizon). My guess is 2013/14 earliest.

Right. "Allegedly" being the keyword in my post.jeeptiger09 wrote:Doubtful. For those of you who have been accepted, did you just receive an email? Or a phone call? Or neither?
Thanks

Got the letter today with a nice note from Dean Bakert letting me know that she'd be in contact regarding an interview for the Combs scholarship. I applied to UK as a safety, but a full ride plus stipend would make it pretty attractive.

I wonder how many people are asked to interview for the Combs scholarship. Anyone have more information?

Did any of those who got in go to DR first? I am there, and my requirements list says "First Tuition deposit received" with an unchecked box next to it.
Am I or am I screwed?
