I've been baking bread a lot and crying. The mileage you get out of those activities may vary. Like, regarding Why Texas, I'm pussyfooting around on whether to send one in or not. Like if they wanted one, they'd ask, right? Like assuming I never got into this forum obsession and all the advice online, I wouldn't have known that a Why Texas essay is even a thing. It's unreasonable for them to expect something like that unprompted and gathered from internet advice, right? And being ED, it's no duh we wanna go to Texas. This is agonizing.ebrook93 wrote:WHAT DO WE DOironkingdom wrote:ebrook93 wrote:I'm ED, applied in early October, and have heard nothing. I was under the impression that submitting a Why Texas on top of applying ED was redundant, but I'm starting to reconsider. Maybe I should submit one anyways...wmbuff wrote:RD.ebrook93 wrote:Are you ED or RD?wmbuff wrote:This is credited. Splitter, applied early, no interview, no why Texas. You might wanna send in that Why Texas if you're thinking about it!
I'm just so confused about this radio silence and its driving me insane.
I'm same situation. I feel sick about this... I thought my numbers were pretty par the course for the school?

I just did not deliver coherent answers lol, I think it was my worst interview so far (though I have hated all the Kira ones).HenryHankPalmer wrote:What makes you say that?Jack_Kelly wrote:I bombed the shit out of that interview

Saaame. My written response was basically: "I am good at things and also I like law and also I did school and also I am writing good. Thank you!"Jack_Kelly wrote:I bombed the shit out of that interview

Same here. Did fine on the practice Qs and then the real thing was absolute trash. Couldn't even remember the name of my favorite class in collegebobloblaw21 wrote:Saaame. Re: Texas Law Class of 2021 Applicants (2017-2018 cycle)
Applied RD, OOS, above 75th LSAT and in between 25th and 50th GPA. No Why Texas and no interview request. Went complete 11/3.
I am going to visit UT this Friday, and was wondering if that is enough to show interest in the school or if I should submit an unsolicited Why Texas before RD decisions start rolling out next week. Any advice is appreciated

My two cents.. A well written Why Texas essay won't hurt you in any way. In this respect, I'd think of the essay as a no downside/unknown upside option. If submitting a Why Texas could help you with whoever is reviewing your app, it is probably worth your consideration.pwil4142 wrote:Applied RD, OOS, above 75th LSAT and in between 25th and 50th GPA. For those who have heard back, did your status checker change at all? Whether it was before or after your decision was communicated to you?

UT status checker doesn't update until decision is sent (I believe, need more sources to verify).ebrook93 wrote:For those who have heard back, did your status checker change at all? Whether it was before or after your decision was communicated to you?

Haven't gotten an email, but I saw on my status checker: 'Application pending review with Regular Decision pool'
Out of state, 3.5, 166 went complete Oct 26th.

Interesting... My status checker only says "Your Texas Law application file is complete and ready for review as long as we have received your CAS report"...ironkingdom wrote:Haven't gotten an email, but I saw on my status checker: 'Application pending review with Regular Decision pool'

Mine didn't update last year until I got in. In fact, it didn't update until like a week after I got in. I kept thinking they made a mistake in letting me in (still do tbh)FN-2187 wrote:UT status checker doesn't update until decision is sent (I believe, need more sources to verify).ebrook93 wrote:For those who have heard back, did your status checker change at all? I'm sure they're waiting till 3 AM to send the email, since that seems to be their modus operandi.
