Re: Cornell Applicants Class of 2021 (2017-2018)
I just want to say that, at least for me, the point was not to derail the thread. I simply was pushing back on a user who was being vindictive against a fellow TLSer who was proud to get into Cornell. I am proud of everyone who strives to reach their goals. I hope you all have an amazing cycle! Now- back to your regularly scheduled broadcast of talking about Cornell Admissions...

Anyway... anyone else submit an interview more than a week ago and still at "interview requested"? I got my interview request days after I submitted my app, so I'm hoping they're going through them by the app completion date Still not feeling too good with how long it's taken though! I really like Cornell and I know someone who recently started working there and he says he LOVES Ithaca.

I hope not! My mind is not 100% made up yet, but I really like the idea of being in a smaller town during law school! I definitely wouldn't write off NYU or Columbia or anything, but at this point in time just thinking about cost of living is giving me a heart attack. Plus I was in Virginia over the weekend (couldn't stop by UVA unfortunately because it was a family trip and I didn't pay for the travel expenses) and I LOOOOOVED the hiking, the nature, the four wheeling (lol). Apparently I'm a small town girl at heart and I think Ithaca and the area around it would be great

I submitted on 10/18 and my status checker still says: "your application is ready for review." Is this normal?

My impression from this thread is that Cornell doesn't use the checker the same way others do - that basically you'll show 'ready for review' until you get an interview or a ding.dlutfy wrote:I submitted on 10/18 and my status checker still says: "your application is ready for review." I had a date change on my status checker yesterday so maybe there will be some movement soon.

Has anyone gotten an acceptance this week? Was really hoping they wouldn't leave me at "interview requested" for this whole week, I'm losing it over here.

Does Cornell send a physical acceptance letter? I've been in for a few weeks, but nothing physical has been sent to my address.

I'm feeling a ding and/or acceptance wave tomorrow. It's been quiet this week and surely they want to get to some people before Thanksgiving. Wishful thinking probably.

You can sign up for Informed Delivery through USPS. They have photos of mail that is coming to your house that day.MonicaYoung_LOL wrote:How do you check whether something has been sent to your address???SopranoSaxophone wrote:Does Cornell send a physical acceptance letter?
