In the exact same boat. Couple days ago had a dream I was accepted by phone call, woke up excited and realized it was only a dream. Then a couple minutes after actually got a call from a LA area code, but it was only a telemarketer. I hung up so fastalykdesire wrote:TFW you're staring at your phone trying to will a phone call from an LA area code..

In -- just got the call from Dean Schwartz. He almost sounded apologetic for calling me!
Complete 1/8, so a pleasantly short turnaround time

Some people received their decision in 2 weeks. What's up with that?

After being left on read for months finally got waitlisted by UCLA. My stats are above 75th and no why UCLA so I’m guessing YP? Not sure if there’s any point staying on waitlist since I can only go with significant aid

Anyone else applying for a joint JD/MPP? Any info on when the MPP program sends out decisions?

Update: I was waitlisted today :/ I was a reverse splitter. Guess I'll send in some LORs since I have them on file, but I'm basically taking it as a denial.OrangeMarmalade wrote:I applied in nov and still waiting as well...

Did you write a why UCLA essay? I think if you are a WL and a YP and you actually really want to be there, you should let them know! Can't hurt and I know that there are people who got in off the WL last year who got aid, cuz one of them is a 1L friend of mine.phqd_roar wrote:After being left on read for months finally got waitlisted by UCLA. I submitted 1/23, complete 1/29, acceptance 2/1. I had some trouble uploading my tax documents in the grant application portal, but i finally got everything submitted 3/7 and got notified of merit offer 3/9.barely_legal wrote:Anyone know how long it took after acceptance to get merit scholarship offer? Same boat. I've kinda given up on them. But the situation strikes me as strange. I'm above their 75th for LSAT and below their 25th for GPA based on last year's data.stjdot wrote:anyone else STILL waiting for a decision? (I applied early January)

Is there a WL thread? If not, anyone want to start one? I'm new to TLS otherwise I would but I would probably mess it up

Hiya, would love to know more details about the interview when you have a chancelazarzhr wrote:Hey! 1L here, I accepted a distinguished scholars offer last spring. The interview was intimidating just because it was with a panel of law professors, but I didn't really know what to expect going in. It was more intense than other interviews I had done with other schools, but don't let that scare you! Just try to relax and answer their questions as honestly and comfortably as you can. My questions were really tailored to my specific background so it was really easy to talk about. They also had me do some logic puzzles on the spot. I didn't have a pencil and paper on me, which put me at a disadvantage, but I was able to get by.gobears18 wrote:Hi all! I applied to distinguished scholars program and just found I got an interview. Is this good? Any tips on prepping? Thanks!
