Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Hey everybody, good luck this cycle. I am a current 2L at H and just wanted to let you all know to feel free to ask me any questions you might have, either in this thread or through a pm. I remember going through this process and realize it can seem daunting and never-ending, but the waiting will only last so long, and I'm sure you all will have great options ahead of you. Good luck!

I feel strongly that you'll at least get a WL. H isn't going to ignore an LSAT like yours.rowdy wrote:Thanks DadSlippin' Jimmy wrote:If anyone can, its you.rowdy wrote:Checking in, trying to break the GPA floor

Submitted today also! Keeping my fingers crossed.rachelac wrote:Oh duh sorry! Answered on my phone and obviously didn't read carefully; that reply was pretty useless haha. I'd say don't bother if it was nonviolent and not documented by anyone other than the school. I currently teach and can tell you there's NO way the school still has that record lol.Platopus wrote: What about stuff from high school or earlier? I'm just wondering if I need to disclose 8th grade detentions, etc.? I was suspended in 8th grade for something that was admittedly really dumb and disrespectful, but not anything heinous or violent. I'd prefer not to have to disclose, but obviously if it's necessary I will. I emailed the admissions office requesting clarification, but I'm expecting a vague non-commital response.
Fwiw I called the admissions office to check about this because I definitely got a few detentions when I was in high school. They said that if it was a minor infraction it didn't have to be disclosed but that you should also use your best judgment. I feel like if your incident is as far away as middle school and unlikely to cause problems with bar admission, you'll probably be ok. I would check just to be sure though.

This is the first app I've seen that doesn't even pretend to care about familial background.
