I got "received" on Oct 6 but the status checker is not changing to "complete."
Is it usual for this to take so long?

Guys, has anyone made the application fee payment by way of check? Had a small doubt. Thanks.

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Just tried mine. It worked fine. I had trouble with the Georgetown one yesterday, but it worked after a couple of hours (with no update made). I'd try again in a bit and see what happens.RamenEgg wrote:When I tried to log into Status Checker this morning, it didn't work — and when I tried to reset my password, it said no account with my email address exists.
I submitted and went complete a few weeks ago. Anyone else having this problem with Status Checker? Thanks.

Based on last year, JS1s should go out in the next couple of weeks.

Here's what I found as far as first wave of invite dates:
First JS1 Invite (c/o 2016): Wednesday, October 31 (~4 PM EST)
First JS1 Invite (c/o 2017): Tuesday, October 15 (~4 PM EST)
First JS1 Invite (c/o 2018): Monday, October 27 (~4 PM EST)
First JS1 Invite (c/o 2019): Tuesday, October 20 (~11:45AM EST)
I'm wondering. Did most go out that first day/week? Or was it a gradual release over the course of the month?

Hi, everyone. I matriculated last cycle but deferred, so I’ll be seeing some of you guys at HLS soon. To both answer your question and dispel some of the worry that ensues every year on this thread, the interview timeline varies for every applicant. Applicants who have a really high LSAT/GPA index or are considered highly desirable in some way and have submitted an application early will usually get a JS1 on the sooner end. That said, if you’re still in line numbers wise, you can get an interview pretty much at any point throughout the cycle, so there’s really no reason to start panicking until at least mid-March if you haven’t heard anything for a bit.AaronCarter wrote:Excellent.Platopus wrote:Looks like the class of 2020 invites went out the first week of November.AaronCarter wrote:Based on last year, JS1s should go out in the next couple of weeks.

Personally, I was a non-splitter and had applied within the first couple of days, did not get a JS1 until 1/18, had my JS1 on 1/31 and was then admitted on 2/22. Others interviewed in December and heard back in January, and some interviewed even earlier but were not admitted until Feb or March. Etc etc...so just be sure to update the admissions committee accordingly with anyhing beneficial like fall grades for those still in school, a work promotion, award etc., but other than that, just know you’ve done your best and stay positive! Worrying won’t do anything but detract from enjoying your day-to-day until you receive a decision one way or the other. I really wish someone had told me the same throughout my admissions cycle. Hope that’s helpful!

Am I the only one in this thread that's below both medians? 100% expecting a ding or waitlist but if I get in by some miracle I'm moving to Mass.

You’re a MA with a 3.8 and a mid 160s lsat. There are 100% MAs with your stars at Harvard right now. Just submit a solid app.

I'm right at the median for LSAT and like .04 below the goa median. It kinda kills me about the GPA but hard to know if that kind of stuff makes a differenceSlippin' Jimmy wrote:Am I the only one in this thread that's below both medians? 100% expecting a ding or waitlist but if I get in by some miracle I'm moving to Mass.

I think the fact that I know 2 MAs with higher numbers that got rejected makes me lower my expectations. All we can do is wait now! Best of luck everyone.

Does anything change in the Application Checker when you get assigned an interview?

Did someone of you pay the app fee by check? They say that you have to send the check together with the Certification Letter. Where should I be able to print it? I can't reach it anymore through the LSAT website (app already sent - almost a month ago).
I asked the admission office but no response from them...
Thanks!
