I felt like it was one of the easiest interviews I've had actually. The questions were pretty standard/did not feel targeted to my app at all (and I'm a weird applicant so I feel like if they were going to target questions to anyone, it would be me lol). Overall just the basic stuff -- why law, why Chicago, what do you bring to the table, describe your job/accomplishments, etc. Also, my interviewer was super friendly and amazing, and it sounds like most people on here have had similar experiences. You'll do great!JosephFourier wrote:What sort of questions do they ask during the interview? I have one this week and I heard it's tougher than most. Is it mostly targeted towards your application or is it more like a behavioral interview?

Do not write a single-spaced two page LOCI, that's excessive.2021hopeful wrote:I read it to mean double-spaced, but not sure. Do you know if we are supposed to include updated personal info (like promotion at work/raised GPA/joined a new club) in the LOCI? The tours are usually not that big, think 2-5 people. Our building isn't huge but you'll be shown where the classrooms are, the library, the lounge, etc. ASW last year was kinda interesting in terms of meeting other admits but I thought it was mostly a long drawn out opportunity for the school to sell you on "prestige," "rigor," and "intellectual curiosity/debate."fohner wrote:I'll almost certainly be at ASW if I get in. I'm also planning on taking a student led tour sometime this spring. Can anyone describe what the tours are like? Are they very personal and small or more like a quick walk through? I'd be interested in sitting in on a class too.Slawthschool wrote:Slightly off topic, but is anyone planning on attending the ASW? I will most likely attend the ASW. I've never been to Chicago so I'd like to spend a full weekend there to get a feel for it.Slawthschool wrote:Slightly off topic, but is anyone planning on attending the ASW? So, hate to beat this dead horse once again but...did anyone else who was waitlisted with high numbers submit a why Chicago with their original app? The general consensus is that chi is doing yp but I wrote a pretty lengthy (2 page) statement of reasons why Chicago is a top pick for me. So I'm thinking it's something else in my case.

Have any other admits filled out the need application yet? If so, what year's tax info did you use? I know FAFSA uses 2016 but Chicago didn't specify if they wanted 2016 or this year's income, etc.

No, but I visited the school this fall. Numbers above both 75ths. Pretty sure it's not YP.dm1683 wrote:So, hate to beat this dead horse once again but...did anyone else who was waitlisted with high numbers submit a why Chicago with their original app? Just went UR3 today. Does that mean anything or is it that everyone who is interviewed goes UR3?

Interviewed last week, went UR after the interview and just had another date change today. So I guess I'm at UR4 now? Does this mean there will be another wave soon?

Same. I'm honestly kind of confused about where my app is in the process.lumosfawkes wrote:Interviewed last week, went UR after the interview and just had another date change today. So I guess I'm at UR4 now? Does this mean there will be another wave soon?

Same here, though I haven't been keeping track of how many URs I've went through. It's either 3 or 4 for me. Regardless, my interviewer told me I wouldn't hear for 4-6 weeks, so not expecting anything until mid February.theharleyquinn wrote:Same. Yea I was told it would be a while. I interviewed last week I think (tbh losing track now). Anyone with similar stats/timeline receive an interview request? Still waiting here.
176/3.5 non-URM
submitted 11/21, complete 12/04, UR1 12/21 -- no additional movement.
This is my second cycle--rejected last year with 167 LSAT.
Edit: 2 years post-grad work experience in disaster recovery and data analytics -- I'm a splitter but not KJD.

Do all applicants get multiple URs even if they're gonna ultimately get WL'd or dinged? I feel like I've been stuck on UR1 (or maybe 2??) forever - since 12/29.

Re: UChicago c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Same here for those dates. My understanding is that UChicago is rolling but more methodical than other schools, i.e, massive interview waves instead of seemingly random ones like we see at other schools.thepsychedelic wrote:i was UR1 11/22 until my interview request on like 01/14. don’t worry, it hasn’t even been a month yetChutzpahSaxa15 wrote:Do all applicants get multiple URs even if they're gonna ultimately get WL'd or dinged?
