The instructions for the optional essays says to "title the essay appropriately".
Does that mean to indicate which of their topics you are addressing, or that you are free to come up with whatever title you deem fit?

Yeah, I titled mine "Diversity Statement" and "Why Penn" in the header along with my name and LSAC number. I think that's what they were going for!TexasENG wrote:I would probably go with indicating which topic you are addressing. So I guess a follow up question would be, is the title "Why Penn" a legit thing, or TLS slang? The 4 options given by Penn for optional statements are not actually labeled...Christinabruin wrote:Yeah, I titled mine "Diversity Statement" and "Why Penn" in the header along with my name and LSAC number. Re: University of Pennsylvania c/o 2020 Applicants
Lol I have no idea if it's TLS slang since I'm relatively new to this forum, but I just titled mine "Why Penn" (and the same format for my other Why essays) since I knew of no other way to title the essay... I just wanted the adcomms to know what essay they were reading since I had a total of 3.mdu wrote:So I guess a follow up question would be, is the title "Why Penn" a legit thing, or TLS slang? Yes! ED as well. Mine was UCR 11/16 and changed to UCR again today 11/21. Penn is on their gamelawlawland16 wrote:ED, applied 11/13, UCR2 as of this morning*
*I'm assuming UCR2 because my UCR status date changed from 11/15 to 11/21 this morning. Is this correct?

Re: University of Pennsylvania c/o 2020 Applicants
I may be wrong but didn't the UCRs come out 11/30 last year? If so I'm wondering if the 11/21 UCRs this year means earlier RD admits like 12/5. Thanksgiving may push it to three weeks like you said ~12/12TexasENG wrote:2015-2016: 12/14/15pizzagoblin wrote:So when are we expecting the first RD admissions?
2014-2015: 12/18/14
2013-2014: 12/19/13
So probably 3-4 weeks from now.

Literally can't think of anything to write for a Why Penn
