Looking at LSN, seems like some top candidates might have had their offers bumped to full rides yesterday. Hopefully a sign of more info to come across the board

A friend of mine was one of the 180K scholarships. He just got his offer yesterday. He was a late app/admit. For what it's worth.

Got it. Is that the public interest scholarship? 180k is such a massive numberjessmeesh wrote:mrtux45 wrote:Looking at LSN, seems like some top candidates might have had their offers bumped to full rides yesterday. Hopefully a sign of more info to come across the board

I'm pretty sure it was a generic merit award, but I'll edit if he tells me otherwise.

I know one of the people on LSN who posted 180k said that it didn't reflect an actual amount it was just the number they used for full tuition offers.jessmeesh wrote:mrtux45 wrote:Got it. Ah! I was wondering about this. Tuition is 51K, so 180 is over full tuition. Do you happen to know if the 180 people get a stipend on top of tuition then? Or is the 180 meant to cover all other costs/fees but not cost of living?ashrice13 wrote:I know one of the people on LSN who posted 180k said that it didn't reflect an actual amount it was just the number they used for full tuition offers.jessmeesh wrote:mrtux45 wrote:Got it. Maybe, but they put me on hold for fall grades when I applied (I had those sent to them by mid December) so they've made me feel like I'm not good enough.jessmeesh wrote:amberb94 wrote:Guys I still haven't heard anything and they said it isn't a mistake. I applied in November. Lol.

I don't think it's YP but you're defintiely a solid admit so it's odd that they haven't gotten back to you yet. They said it wasn't a mistake...so does that mean you've followed up with them already? That would be my advice if not.amberb94 wrote:Maybe, but they put me on hold for fall grades when I applied (I had those sent to them by mid December) so they've made me feel like I'm not good enough.jessmeesh wrote:amberb94 wrote:Guys I still haven't heard anything and they said it isn't a mistake. Idk. My stats are below yours and I was admitted with a good scholarship. Applied later than you too. All I can think is YP or just a policy of holding KJD apps until final grades. Unless there's some weirdo red flag in your app, but I wouldn't guess so based on your other acceptances.

Same. I asked and they said before their first seat deposit, which is wildly unhelpful.A_Faus95 wrote:Does anyone know when we will hear about the need based alumni scholarship??

At this time last year, that information had started to come out and IIRC kind of came in waves like merit scholarships. I'm hoping this week seeing as deposits are pretty soon..but in reality, who knowsA_Faus95 wrote:That is just annoying. So it could be another 2+ weeks?Ashleighjarm wrote:Same. Does anyone know how many applicants they usually take in from the waitlist? All I know is that the list isn't ranked :/
