What questions are typically asked in a scholarship interview? How does it differ from a regular admission interview?

The only one I had was Duke and it seemed the same as a normal interview.

I'm not even going to lie, I am extremely upset that Bharara decided to teach at NYU and not CLS.

Not surprising since a lot of SDNY leadership are teaching at NYU. I wonder if CLS will label him a traitor for joining his alma mater's cheif rival

Although I agree 100%, I'm fairly sure he wouldn't uproot his family and move into the village haha

Oh i don't know his life.

NYU probably just gave him an insane salary and will charge 5 more people sticker this year to cover it.

Oh, I'm just assuming that since his old office at SDNY is only like 2 subway stops from NYU, he probably wouldn't have to move from where he already is haha

That's very true. However, I think the difference is that NYU's externship has a seminar portion that meets at NYU once a week whereas Columbia's program is held at SDNY after work hours.

Either way, I'm pretty sure none of this went into Preet's decision haha

Nightwing wrote:Michigan just pulled the trigger on yet another WL for me. NYU, Columbia, UVA... those are the last three schools I have any chance at with my numbers that haven't gotten back to me at this point. All the others have been waitlists except for Berkeley, who was a rejection. UVA's getting way too late considering ASD just happened and I still don't have even an interview request and if something is so horribly wrong with my application that even my safeties don't want me, what hope do I have of NYU and Columbia? I honestly don't know what to do right now. I'm completely defying MyLSN right now. Are early-mid January applications really that late?
I too am completely defying MyLSN - in at top schools, waitlisted at middle schools.

Life is shitty. Drink more cognac.

Just now I was surprised at how accurate MyLSN was for me due to super-splitter small sample size. Then I realized that it was pulling data from this cycle, including my own profile.

Dumb question from someone extremely unfamiliar with how financial aid works -

In terms of FAFSA, does your loan amount change from school to school? I have my scholarship info from my top choice but I haven't heard anything regarding available loans. Other schools have given me loan info and they're all offering the same amount. Should I expect that across the board? Also, how do I say I want to take out loan loans/specify how much I want? Will they send me a form or something at some point?
