Stanford is my top choice and I was hoping to chat with other applicants and give each other application advice.

...Woah, my first c/o post! So exciting.
Not a whole lot of hope for Stanford because they are so small and selective and focused on GPA, but it'd make my life if it ends up happening. Tied for first choice with Harvard.

Moving out of the LSAT forum was a big moment in my life.

Checking in. I visited earlier this year and fell in love. The campus and palm trees are irresistible. Can totally see myself studying there for three years!
Anyone writing a DS? I wonder if the 2 pp or 1 pp limit applies here?

How much have you guys done on your apps, if any? I've got some notes for my PS and I've sort of asked for my LORs.

PS is done, LORs are all in excluding one employer's. Need to work on DS, my GPA addendum and "Why X" statements.

Checking in, retaking in October before I apply. I've got a solid start on my PS, asked for my recommendations, and at the moment I'm debating whether to write a diversity statement or not (LGBT) because it's a big part of my PS.

I want Stanford so badly!
edit: I've started conceptualizing my PS, but haven't started writing yet. I hope to get started on it this weekend. I've asked for LOR's but my professors want to see my PS first. I just submitted my transcripts. I think that's it

What are you guys writing about for your DS? I feel like it would be redundant for me to do so, since my PS will essentially be a DS.

I am writing my DS on first-generation grad/race experiences. PS is on a separate subject.
If your PS can also be treated as a DS and you think it captures all you want to convey to the committee then by all means forego writing a DS. That said, if extra avenues are provided to market one's self don't be afraid to use it, especially for HYS.

I've been waiting for this thread - I'm deferred into your class, and I've been looking forward to meeting you all! Let me know if you have any questions.
(Unfortunately, this means 1 out of the 180 seats is taken; sorry)

Please let me know what needs to be added to this page and I'll do my best.
Pictures! The 2011 thread has a lot of nice ones:

Also, where did you get "Class of 2017" applicant data from? (Referring to the "Some Numbers" table)

Pretty sure he just used the most recent data available, that's not actually Class of 2017 data obviously considering they don't have any C/O 2017 applicants yet lol.

I just took a screenshot from LSN. I was confused to because it seemed to me like it's supposed to be class of 2016. I'll fix that and add some pictures

I look forward to hopefully being in the same class. Luckily, your deferment shouldn't be a problem because they send out many more than 180 offers.

Shit you guys have done more than I have. Maybe I should have spent more time on my app and less on making a TLS thread.

I just want to be done. I've been thinking about this stuff for way too long. I'm almost done with my PS, got my LORs, and about to get my fee waivers done. Almost there!

I submitted targeted LORs last year (from professors who had no affiliation to Stanford) and it definitely didn't hurt.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
