HELP!

Post by honeybee251 » Tue Dec 26, 2017 2:26 pm

Hello all! Desperately in need of some help/advice.

Some background on me: When I first took the LSAT I scored 138 on a diagnostic. I knew I had a lot of room for improvement, so I took a TestMasters course and I received a much better understanding of LGs. After TestMasters, my PTs were 152 timed and 154 untimed. My problem was with LR and RC. I have been studying intensely on these two sections since January 2017. I have read all Powerscore Bibles and completed countless practice tests/drills.

My current PTs are 155 timed and 165 untimed. I find that my biggest obstacle is the complexity of the LR stimulus and RC passage. Once I comprehend it, I can answer the questions because I can prephrase and know what to look for. But often, I can't comprehend the stimulus/passage and this obviously affects my performance. When I take the time to understand the stimulus/passage upfront, I get the same score because I answer less questions. How can I improve my comprehension of the stimulus/passage?

I typically miss -1 LG, -10 RC (can only get to 3 passages), -10 LR, and -10 LR.

What strategies can I use to go from 150s to 160s?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
