Converting LR Bible to Cambridge LR Set - Classification

Post by bdeans91 » Sat Jan 26, 2013 11:20 pm

Just tell me if I'm doing this right. I'm doing Pithy Pike's plan

Month 1:

LR Bible Chapter and Cambridge Problem Set:

- Assumption, “Necessary Assumption” and “Sufficient Assumption” in Cambridge
- Strengthen
- Weaken
- Flaw in the Reasoning, “Flaw” in Cambridge

Month 2:

LR Bible Chapter and Cambridge Problem Set:

- Must Be True
- Cannot Be True
- Evaluate the Argument, “Evaluate” in Cambridge
- Principle, “Principle (Identify)” and “Principle (Apply)” in Cambridge
- Parallel Reasoning, “Parallel (Reasoning)” and “Parallel (Flaw)” in Cambridge
- Resolve the Paradox, “Paradox” in Cambridge
- Method of Reasoning, “Method (Argument)” and “Method (Statement)” in Cambridge
- Main Point, “Main Conclusion” in Cambridge
- Justify the Conclusion, “Most Strongly Supported” and “Complete the Passage” in Cambridge
- Point at Issue, “Point” in Cambridge

Main question I have is wirth regards to Justify the Conclusion and if I paired it with the right problem sets... Thanks

That's mostly correct. Here are the adjustments:
  • Justify the Conclusion corresponds to Sufficient Assumption.
  • PS classifies Most Strongly Supported questions as Must Be True.
  • PS classifies Complete the Passage questions as Main Point (Fill in the Blank).

Very much appreciated!

Powerscore makes their own editions of the LR sets (PTs 1-20, and 21-40), for anyone who doesn't feel like converting. Fortunately, there is a lot of overlap.

How would someone convert the LG from Cambridge to Pithypike's system? Would Complex Ordering come before or after grouping?
