Palm Pilot for Law School?
I saw the thread about the iPad and, while it is not a toy I can afford, I was wondering if anyone had experience with the palm pilot. I heard some people have issues with the stylus, but anything else? It wasn't too useful in college (Although that was back in '98), so I'm just not sure how useful it would be in law school.
Thanks!

Most people have an iphone. I haven't found mine that useful. Only useful thing is synchronizing my Google calendar with the phone, but you can do that for tons of phones.

Re: Palm Pilot for Law School?
I'm already going into substantial debt for law school and I really don't feel like buying a iPhone or iPad just to fit in; no shame in that. All I am wondering is if my palm pilot will work well in law school. Can some other palm users chime in maybe? Have you been able to keep organized your contacts and important info for all three years on it? Have you found there to be sufficient memory or were you forced to buy an extension pack?
I have the Palm 1000, but a co-worker has the Palm 5000 which seems like it might be a useful upgrade.
Thoughts?

Use this, it's not as antiquated as a palm pilot.

Mr. Reynolds,
I'm not sure how using a phone in class is appropriate or even a reasonable substitution for a palm pilot.
Now that the haters have had their fun, can some actual users please chime in? Were you able to keep important info )class schedule, phone numbers, addresses, birthdays, etc) organized on the palm pilot?
Thanks!

Do you own a computer? Seriously, that's all you need. That's it.
This isn't B-school, you don't have to do a ton of networking shit, especially first year. Just focus on getting good grades.

Why would you need this if you have a laptop? And if you don't have a laptop--go buy one before school starts. Let palmpilots stay a part of our past.TomahawkChopper wrote:Mr. Reynolds,

Here is what everyone is saying that you seem to be willfully neglecting:
Palm Pilots are a relic. Modern smart phones do everything Palm Pilots could do, just a lot better. Burn your palm pilot and get a smart phone. I have a Droid Incredible and it's great. It's also like 2 years old, which is ancient in smart phone years.

It will work great. Just make sure you have the dock. I love being able to play touch checkers while docked at my desk.

This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then - explode.Mal Reynolds wrote:It's Captain Reynolds.TomahawkChopper wrote:Mr. Reynolds,

What you really need is one of these shits:

Good for taking exams, keeping track of important appointments, taking notes, the works.
