Hold LOR for waitlist purposes?
I have 3 recs (2 from my major advisers and one from another professor) and I realize most schools require 2. So, my question is (if it isn't obvious already), should I hold one in case I get waitlisted at a school?

Dean Pless (and I think most adcomms agree) said a LOR will never be definitive enough to get you off a WL. Also, once WL'ed, it's more about who decides no to enroll at the school that determines if you'll be admitted or not, rather than LOCIs and the like. I'd send them all if I were you.

imho, submit it to lsac, bc that process can sometimes take forever anyways. (but then again, i think lsac changed their lor process now so i'm not sure?) you may not get wl'd, so no need to waste the lor if you (a) already have it and (b) think it'll be a good lor, especially compared to the other two. you'd be much better off submitting something personal though (loci) for wl purposes than an lor. just my 2 cents.

I'd totally submit it. Hopefully, it's another factor that'll help you bypass being wl.
