Just got an email about the Friday's Preview Day. Looks like it should be a pretty solid day.
Of course they are as vague as possible about attire: "Casual dress if fine". Thanks a lot GW, that really helps.

Just got back from WashU's visit and everyone was dressed pretty casually. Lot of girls in jeans and nice tops/sweaters. Lots of guys in jeans and button downs or sweaters. Thats seems to be the typical ASW uniform. Hope that helps!cj346 wrote:Just got an email about the Friday's Preview Day. Looks like it should be a pretty solid day.

Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated. I have been going back and forth between jeans w/ blazer or a suit w/o tie. Sounds like jeans w/ blazer is a better option?ssitt wrote:Just got back from WashU's visit and everyone was dressed pretty casually. Lot of girls in jeans and nice tops/sweaters. Curious to hear what everyone thought of the ASP - it was my first one so I didn't really have a basis for comparison...

Had a great time overall. It was my first one as well so I don't really have anything to compare it to.lurker816 wrote:Curious to hear what everyone thought of the ASP - it was my first one so I didn't really have a basis for comparison...
Students: Seemed genuine about really liking the school, teachers, etc. Obviously the students there should have been the biggest fanboys, but none of it seemed forced or over the top to me.
Facilities: Overall, I was impressed with the facilities. I've walked around some other law schools (some ranked higher, some ranked lower) that weren't nearly as nice as GW. Obviously that's what you want for the price of GW so that was good to see.
Field Placement: I went in hoping to be impressed by the schools usage of the DC market and I was not disappointed. I sat in on the Field Placement seminar and it seems like if you can find an internship that fits in their box of requirements, you can use it for school credit. The ability to have an internship during the school year is a huge selling point for me.
Clinics: I was a little disappointed with the presentation of the clinics seminar. I would have preferred a similar set up to the field placement seminar, with each clinic describing themselves. Probably wouldn't have been as disappointed except the main clinic I am interested in wasn't there (Small Business). Their clinic program seems great, I was just disappointed with the seminar.
Anybody else have any other thoughts?

Re: GW Law Class of 2019
If you're looking for a place to stay this summer, my wife and I need to sublet our Capitol Hill house for two months. Rent is $900/month/person, minimum of two people (or $1800/month for one persons if that's how your roll). Utilities included.
There are three bedrooms (one fully furnished, two need mattresses or air mattresses) one bathroom. The location is halfway between the Capitol South and Eastern Market metro stops. Very safe, fun neighborhood. Walking distance to Barracks Row and Navy Yard. 20 minute metro ride to GW.
Ideal dates are mid-June to mid-August but that's flexible.
PM me or call/text 918-557-4184 for details.

Officially committed to GW and withdrawn from Georgetown. Never thought I'd be going to law school. Looking forward to meeting my fellow part timers.

I know this was asked, but is there already a Class of 2019 Facebook group? I haven't been able to find it.

Re: GW Law Class of 2019
I put my deposit down before GW's 2015 graduate employment statistics came out and was quite surprised by how much they dropped. Does anybody know why GW took such a big hit in terms of their employment score (66%)? Their part time/short-term placement increased dramatically as well. I'm worried that this will be a new trend for upcoming years. Considering that GW had been very consistent in recent year in terms of employment, did anything happen to GW that could explain this?
