One would hope, certainly. They don't require a seat deposit though an the first deadline allows you to say "maybe," so there's not a ton of pressure on them to release by then. I'm certainly hoping they do though so I can know if Berkeley will even be a possibility and start figuring out my deposit strategy.Applesauce11 wrote:But the deadline to submit your intent is 4/15- they should (hopefully) get back to us before then.urbanist11 wrote:Their website states "priority" will be given to applications submitted before April 15th and that most decisions will be made by May 15th (I really hope they move faster than this).tappatappatappa wrote:Is there a deadline to submit a matching scholarship? What up class of 2019! I was shocked/pumped to get accepted last week. I didn't see myself ending up on the west coast for law school but Berkeley seems amazing. See you guys at ASW!

Yes. The scholarship timeline is pretty well laid out their website and has been mentioned several times.strawberrieee wrote:Checking in.

Just in case anyone is interested: I live in mid-Peninsula and I have a spare basement room (with private bath) I can offer (for free) to someone attending the ASW. I will be taking Caltrain (from Belmont) and BART to Berkeley for the ASW (1.5 hour). This is probably not such an attractive option, but I will just put it out there. PM if you are interested.

Speaking of scholarships^ Do we hear back mid March or early April? Their website (on different pages) says both. One says (essentially) that if you get all of your materials in you can hear back by ASW, but the other page says April... I obviously would prefer to hear back by ASW

I think mid March is need aid, loans, and Berkeley merit and April is matching. Hopefully they will add some insight at ASW.skimmilk wrote:Speaking of scholarships^ Do we hear back mid March or early April? Their website (on different pages) says both. Sooo... I just checked the weather forecast for ASW and it's going to be raining the entire time. I was looking so forward to getting away from crazy east coast weather and going back to nice California drought!

guys I live in SF and it's been about 50/50 for rain predictions over the last...3 years? i wouldn't worry about rain until you land and it's actually an issue, especially as it rained both today and yesterday. i'm (hoping) we have a lovely weekend but pack an umbrella in case. and if you rent a car please know that bay area people CAN NOT DRIVE in the rain as they never see it

Lol this is so true. I went home for the summer and there was this one morning where it was drizzling a little. Traffic was completely at a standstill and the weather people on the radio were on a "storm watch".eck456 wrote:guys I live in SF and it's been about 50/50 for rain predictions over the last...3 years? i wouldn't worry about rain until you land and it's actually an issue, especially as it rained both today and yesterday. i'm (hoping) we have a lovely weekend but pack an umbrella in case. and if you rent a car please know that bay area people CAN NOT DRIVE in the rain as they never see it

I was recently driving on the highway and it started to drizzle and everyone decided to collectively SLAM ON THEIR BRAKES IMMEDIATELY. i almost fishtailed out trying to just stop in time. on the other hand, my impending death almost made law school admissions irrelevant

FYI - I applied for the Berkeley Law Opportunity Scholarship (didn't get an interview) but in the email, it says "We expect that most of our scholarship awards will be made between March 15 and April 15. Notification is via email."

Did anyone get a confirmation after submitting the ASW form for admitted students weekend? I've gotten radio silence since I submitted the gdocs form.

I RSVPed as soon as the form became available (maybe sometime last year?) and I received an acknowledgement email yesterday. Maybe they'll send you one today or tomorrow.urbanist11 wrote:Don't think so - I wouldn't worry about itTheLorax wrote:Did anyone get a confirmation after submitting the ASW form for admitted students weekend? Is anyone else in here planning on the dual degree with Goldman in public policy? I just got in yesterday (to the mpp) and would love to chat with others who are also evaluating the combo
