CA C&F application - current employer
Hi all, I have a question for these who have passed or are in the process of preparing the CA moral character determination application. Do they actually contact your current employers to get a copy of your resume? Or do they simply verify your title, date of employment, general character?

They send out an IMMEDIATE. And I mean, immediate, email that has a form for them to fill out. I
My spouse was actually my boss for a consulting company. They got an email within 5 minutes of me submitting the application.
It said (essentially)
Title:
Job Description:
Duties:
Dates of Employment: (I think just month/year, but maybe its exact day too)
Reason for leaving:
Any concerns:
*****
Make sure your job description title matches exactly to what you put on your C+F. I put Head of Sales Operations, but my spouse said I was the Director and Lead of Sales Operations and they flagged it as a 'discrepancy', but it wasnt material.
I recommend a couple things:
1. Pull your free credit report from the US Government backed website. Your credit report will have all of your addresses and the date of residence.
2. Contact all of your employers for a good HR contact phone number/email address and give them a copy of your resume job title over the phone or email.
3. Confirm all of your start dates and job titles. Just send your old companies and current companies a quick email to speed the process up.

This is super helpful! Thank you so much! Just curious, did the bar also ask for a copy of your resume from the current employer? How long after they received your current employer's response that they reached out to say it's "red flag?"Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 12:06 pmThey send out an IMMEDIATE. What’s the difference between “job description” and “duties?”Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 12:06 pmThey send out an IMMEDIATE. And I mean, immediate, email that has a form for them to fill out. I

Re: CA C&F application - current employer
If I list out the current supervisor for my current job on the MC application, will the bar contact my supervisor only, or would they reach out to both the supervisor and the HR? Can anyone share their experience?
