Farewell Gifts for Chambers?
I was hoping to get some thoughts on farewell gifts for the people in my chambers? I'd want to get a gift for my judge, our CRD, court reporter, and my two co-clerks. Any ideas? Thanks!

Wine/chocolate & a framed photo of our chambers, for each member of chambers.

Can you propose it? My chambers did this every year, they got whoever does photos for the website to come and take a bunch of photos (including always one “goofy” one which, um, awkward! But it was fun).Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 3:17 pmOh this is a great idea! I agree on the wine/chocolate, too, or substitute something like fancy cheese and crackers or the like to address preferences/allergies. Or scotch if you know any of them like it. That kind of stuff usually works.

For the Judge, perhaps something related to one of their hobbies? To the extent that has come up.
There are also judge bobblehead makers on Etsy. If you think your judge would enjoy something a little jovial, those can be a fun gift.
For the JA/court reporter, a gift card to a place you know they like (local coffeeshop or restaurant, for example) may be an option.

Re: Farewell Gifts for Chambers?
One judge who has been on the bench for quite some time has had each class of clerks frame a picture of them (group or individual) plus a note written by each clerk. They all hang in the court hallway, and it can be fun for future classes to see former clerks and what they had to say about the experience.
