Timing for 2021 Circuit Applications
When would people typically start applying for 2021 circuit clerkships? I know some of it may depend on geographic location. I am not competitive enough to be picky and would apply broadly.

To piggyback, can anyone speak to how those in the Class of 2020 should go about applying for 2021 terms?

It varies by judge, but some are already hiring for 2021. Check OSCAR, and if there isn’t information there, you can always send in a paper application.Anonymous User wrote:To piggyback, can anyone speak to how those in the Class of 2020 should go about applying for 2021 terms?
For the Class of 2020, you’re the first group affected by the new hiring plan. Judges following the plan won’t interview you until after you have four semesters of grades (i.e., next June). Time will tell how many judges actually stick with the plan.
