Any Wake students out there have suggestions on best places to live in Winston-Salem?

There are three Crowne Apartments (Polo, Park, & Oaks) that are less than 2 miles away from the law school. Wake has a shuttle that stops between them and the school (the stop at Wake is just down the street from the law school). A fair number of law students use the shuttle. Another stop on the shuttle's route is Deacon Ridge. Some students use Craigslist to find a place.Dippity wrote:Any Wake students out there have suggestions on best places to live in Winston-Salem?
If at all possible, I would recommend coming to the House Hunt in June (exact date TBD). Friday night, we went to a Winston-Salem Dash (minor league) baseball game, and then a bunch went out to some of the local bars. Saturday, you are shuttled around to various apartments and houses for rent, and then you can sign a lease that weekend. Saturday night, those of us that stayed the second night went out to dinner together and then to some more local bar. About 50 of us did it last year, and it was a lot of fun. And, it was a great way to get to know people and make the first day of orientation less stressful because you already know people.
