South Carolina Class of 2014
Anyone leaning this way?
I'm down to my final 3...USC has made the final cut. Now, if they'll just hurry up and get their scholarship offers out we can start really making decisions.

SC is in my top 3 as well! Where do you go to undergrad? I'm out of state, at UGA, so naturally UGA is a top choice for me as well.

just out of curiosity why are you even considering a TTT with your numbers? obv if you are extremely debt-adverse i can understand your position, but I think you would have gotten into vastly better schools (some even with cash)?sstufken wrote:SC is in my top 3 as well! Honestly, I had more issues with SC than any other law school I've ever dealt with.
Bottom line: They need to get admissions run a lot better before they can ever expect to attract any better talent.
I ended up declining to apply after a (faulty) fee waiver (2 week delayed) email responses, and (2 day late) returned calls. Not a good sign if they want to improve.

ha no actually, money doesn't play a huge factor for me- luckily my parents will finance all of law school for me. but i applied very, very late in the cycle thanks to two lagging LORs (most my files went complete Feb 10th or later).Stonewall wrote:just out of curiosity why are you even considering a TTT with your numbers? obv if you are extremely debt-adverse i can understand your position, but I think you would have gotten into vastly better schools (some even with cash)?sstufken wrote:SC is in my top 3 as well! I've been accepted to Charleston and South Carolina but am still trying to make up my mind between the two. Anyone have any advice to share?

Charleston=more debt, less prestige, better citywestsc wrote:I've been accepted to Charleston and South Carolina but am still trying to make up my mind between the two. Anyone have any advice to share?
Columbia=less debt, name recognition, better connections, meh city
CSL was built for the people who could not get into USC. Go to USC (and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves Charleston).

I just withdrew due to a last-minute offer from Vanderbilt. Good luck to the incoming class at South Carolina, and I hope someone on the wait list will get a seat!
