SLS Transfer thread 2015

Post by deaclaw » Wed Jun 24, 2015 9:39 pm

I guess I'll start it. I put in an application, but I'm not expecting to get in. They take so few transfers, and I'm sure you guys put in some incredibly competitive applications. Best of luck to you all!

I applied as well but I'm not expecting to get in either. I think over half of their matriculating transfers last year were from T14 schools. I know one person that got in from my school but he was ranked #1 in the class. Barring a miracle, I'm not going to be ranked #1.

Anyone have any tips for submitting the class ranking? I emailed them with the ranking of my class, but it's still incomplete on the status checker. I emailed admissions and they have yet to get back to me. How have other people submitted class ranking? My school doesn't put it on the transcript.

I had the same issue so I called them yesterday, and they said that they must get it directly from the school. I had my school put it on my letter of good standing, but they're taking their time with it currently.

Great. Thanks. I'll be in contact with my school's registrar.

I sent an email (June 11) as soon as I got my rankings. This is the response I got back, but my bubble is also still not checked off.
Thank you for your email.

I think that may be an automatic response, and if I were you I would direct your school to include the ranking in a letter of good standing or perhaps an email directly to the admissions people at Stanford.

Has Stanford release any decisions yet? I heard from a friend that one of her classmates got into SlS already.

It's entirely possible, there's not that many people in this thread.

I'm guessing there will be some movement today. And by movement, I mean a lot of dings.

Called today to see if they received my school ranking and the office said they have not released any decisions yet. So the waiting game continues...
