Congrats! Too bad more schools don't have ED/EA so we can all get settled early rather than scrambling in July.n1o2c3a4c5h6e7t wrote:Attending Chicago.

Applying to HYS. Have considered applying to Columbia but I don't think I'd go if I got in. So not sure if I will.

I will buy all of the CLS admits a round of drinks. However, I'm in DC until December, so it'll have to be postponed until January.

Re: TLS Transfer Cycle 2015 (Class of 2017)
Yes and no. I don't particularly care about biglaw in and of itself. But I want to do sports law so biglaw will likely be necessary...or at minimum, a law degree from a very prestigious school and the alumni network that comes along with it is likely necessary. Because I don't have strong enough connections otherwise.scottidsntknow wrote:Well it'll be good to have another option. Are you just aiming for biglaw?lawman84 wrote:Decided to apply to CLS. If I am not able to get into sports law, I probably won't stick around in biglaw. I'd rather work in a small to mid-size firm.

Yeah, it will get interesting. WUSTL always adds an incredible number of transfers to stay in equilibrium. Throw me a text as you hear news. I'm glad most everyone trying to move up has been successful thus far.scottidsntknow wrote:So happy for you! It'll be interesting to see just how much of our class leaves WUSTL.KanyeShrug wrote:Mark me down for UChi, Scotty.

Yeah I just feel bad since I feel like the preselect system screws the transfers. But yeah, things are looking good so far for people, hopefully that continues and everyone ends up better off.KanyeShrug wrote:Yeah, it will get interesting. come to Columbia please, we're delightful folk.georgej wrote:T5 or bust here right now. No disrespect intended towards nyu; I'm just too claustrophobic to live in the village I think.
I'd be giving up a big scholarship to transfer, and I think with my loquacious yet humbly charming personality I'd get a biglaw job from my current school no probs. Yet the thought of one day being dubbed a federal judge by the likes of Chelsea Clinton is too great a temptation for me to be dissuaded by mere short term financial concerns.

Post-Transfer orientation, the transfer student organization took us out and paid for our drinks all night.
