Re: Serving Time in Ithaca (Cornell 2013)
I just finished up my reading for tomorrow. Took me four hours to read/brief 30 pages. Ok, I took a couple of breaks, but still. Fml. Fingers crossed this learning curve straightens out sooner rather than later!

I heard an hour per 15 pages is kinda the norm.

On the other hand, their... performance... erased any misgivings I had that I might be a gunner.NeXP wrote:Gunners show themselves during orientation lectures. Amazing.
Maybe that wasn't a concern for anyone else? (In which case, I'm still a huge d-bag).

UCF = University of Central Florida? I met someone from there today... you were sitting next to me in the circle at Big Red Barn. But I can't remember WHO that was...AdamatUCF wrote:This was the post that finally made me connect your username to who you are in real life.

I'm pretty sure I walked over to the Plantations with someone from UCF who was talking about going to Big Red Barn after.

This was me, but I have no idea who you are. Do we need TLS name badges for 1Ls?NeXP wrote:I'm pretty sure I walked over to the Plantations with someone from UCF who was talking about going to Big Red Barn after.

No, that would be way too obvious. Maybe something resembling a pledge pin. That way we know who to give the secret handshake to.AdamatUCF wrote:This was me, but I have no idea who you are. Unfortunately, I don't think I said/did anything particularly memorable; except that I managed to not notice when everyone was leaving and had to find my own way back. Cornell is f'ing big.

Actually, we just went walking on one of the trails. We were confused when we got back that everyone else had left.NeXP wrote:No, that would be way too obvious. Some of us already have a secret handshake. Or at least, I'm pushing it as hard as I can. Ask me about it next time.NeXP wrote:That way we know who to give the secret handshake to.

To do that, I'd need to know who you are. Sort of a chicken and the egg thing.vexion wrote:Some of us already have a secret handshake. Or at least, I'm pushing it as hard as I can. Ask me about it next time.NeXP wrote:That way we know who to give the secret handshake to.

It's like an LSAT puzzle. I'm obviously one of the ones who went on the botanical gardens tour, but not one of the ones who left the group and walked back alone.NeXP wrote:To do that, I'd need to know who you are. Sort of a chicken and the egg thing.

Well I'm loving Cornell so far except for the fact that I am thoroughly confused by civil procedure
