Do schools even do soft rejects this late in the cycle? I sent in a LOCI and the waitlist form, but I don't know if I should be holding my breath. I would love to get in, but I don't want to ride this out into July if there isn't a lot of hope. Any thoughts would be great, especially from those on the WL or who have already been accepted. Thanks.
That is one hell of a split. Wait until they start accepting from the WL in early/mid June. You'll know from the numbers if they pass you over. My gut says you'll be accepted in the first couple of batches or not.

Hey I know lots of you guys are looking for housing now. There is a nice condo for rent in Brighton, but the landlord requires 3 ppl to rent it. Now we've got two (me and a BC 3L) and waiting for you to be our roommate. Below is some basic info about it, if you guys are interested, please email to: ottang@gmail.com. And yep I've posted in the BU thread too.

.3 bedrooms
.2 bathrooms
.Location: Towne Estate Apartment Complex
.Address: Lake Shore Ct, Brighton, MA
.Quiet and safe neighborhood
.2 free off-street parking lots
.7 mins walking distance to the train stop
.20-30 mins in total (including walking to the T stop and time on the T) to get to BU Law campus
.1.4 miles away from BC Law campus
.BC shuttle is about 5-7 mins walk away
.Rent: $650/month, utility bill not included.
.Utility Bill: Usually about 40 each month for summer (including cable and electricity) and about 50-55 in the winter for each person.
.Lots of BC Law students living around

I don't have a car and I'm living in Brighton, on the B line. I talked to some people at the school who said it's totally doable, so I'm not too worried about it.

Also are we supposed to get an sort of orientation packets? I haven't received any packages after sending the the second deposit, and it would be nice to know how to get ready before school starts! Or just to get some kind of response... at all.

Okay - just received an envelope from them, with stuff like immunization forms, Eagle Card application, letter that we should expect more mailings about orientation in early August, etc.

Got an email today about the Students of Color Retreat the weekend before class starts. Sounds fancy-schmancy, and free! Anyone else get this/ thinking of going?

I've been kind of disappointed by the lack of schwag this cycle so I'll admit I'm tempted by their promise of a free t-shirt...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
