Has anyone worked here before who can offer insight into what the job is like?

Re: Clark County NV DA - Law Clerk
Sorry to necro, but I just got an offer to interview here and was wondering if there was anyone out there who had worked here or interviewed and can comment on the experience. Sounds like the interview is really focused on the hypo (30 minutes to prep for a 30 minute interview).
Thank you!
Thank you!

Interview will ask about hypo but about your experience writing sample et cetera. Be prepared for hypo questions on evidence crim pro and substantive criminal law.
Good luck if you haven't interviewed already! It is a wonderful place to work

Awesome, thank you! They're probably my top choice, so I really want to nail this interview. Is there anything specific to Nevada law I need to know, or is general criminal law/evidence fine?
Do you know how many people they hire on average? It looked like they had ~20 interview slots available (though I don't know how many ended up being filled).
Also, are they very ties sensitive? I have strong ties to Utah, but went to college/law school on the east coast.

I don't think they'll expect you to know Nevada law but always a nice touch if you can. But definitely wouldn't sweat it too much. Usually the law clerk class is 6-8 people. Ties help but it's Vegas, everyone is basically from somewhere else. Utah ties are almost as good as being from Clark County I would say. They will not give you a hard time for being from out of state

Anyone heard back yet? I thought the interview went well, but it's hard to tell what they're looking for.

Interviewed a little over 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Going off earlier posts, it seems that offers tend to go out within 1-2 weeks.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard back yet? I thought the interview went well, but it's hard to tell what they're looking for.
Doesn't look good...

Re: Clark County NV DA - Law Clerk
Sorry to necro again.
I applied for a post-grad Law Clerk position. Got the email re: my score and information that I would be notified if I got an interview. Haven't heard anything as of today. Anyone else hear back/get an interview/get an offer?
Just looking to gauge where I'm at in the process. Seems like one only hears back if you get an interview, so I could be waiting for nothing.
Thanks all.

Re: Clark County NV DA - Law Clerk
I applied for the Law Clerk Position around late September. Got an email a couple days ago stating my score and that I will be notified if I am selected for an interview.
Did anyone else hear back?
