Anyone gotten an offer from King & Spalding? I know someone who got a rejection in the mail and I didn't receive one, but it's been exactly two weeks since my CB so I kinda think my rejection just got lost in the mail or something.

I dont think K&S has extended offers yet. I havent recieved anything in the mail and they've been silent to-date. My friend hasn't received anything from them as well.

My friend received an offer from K&S two weeks ago. I haven’t heard anything from K&S from a CB two and a half weeks ago...

Has anyone heard of any movement post callback from Kilpatrick or Troutman?

Also haven't heard back from K&S after a callback over two weeks ago. When was your friend's CB?

I have a friend who got a Troutman offer yesterday, CB toward the end of last week.

I was under the impression that Kilpatrick is only now holding its official callback (today and Saturday).

Yes, Kilpatrick does one East Coast callback weekend, which was Friday and yesterday. Offers went out today.

It’s ok! I’m headed elsewhere in Atlanta.
FWIW I also know someone who interviewed the same day as me who got an offer.

I had a pre-OCI CB at A&B and still haven't heard anything. Offer within 48 hours at K&S though, so I don't know what the deal is.

The deal is they're two different firms with two different personalities each taking (relatively) small classes and each with two different sets of attorneys interviewing you

Terribly sry to hear about your wait, though

Anyone know what the payscale (or at least starting salary) looks like at Greenberg Traurig in Atlanta?

You could probably use the regular market scale earlier in this thread. Greenberg generally didn't even match last time NYC raised, so I doubt its anything different than market in Atlanta.

It sounds like A&B Charlotte will be going up to the NYC pay scale. Has anybody heard anything about them also raising in Atlanta??

Haven't heard anything specifically, but I'd skeptically side-eye anyone who claimed a historically-Atlanta-based big law firm like A&B/K&S/TS/etc. will be matching NYC. They won't--my hot take is they never will (the fact Dallas and Houston have been NYC market forever hasn't moved the needle). In 2017, the amount of complaining you heard from partners/older associates when ATL market moved up 10K was telling. Firms here feel no cultural compulsion to be market-leading compared to other cities, even other southern ones.

Ultimately, to get NYC market in ATL you need to go to somewhere like Paul Hastings or Fish & Richardson--firms with roots elsewhere and an outpost in ATL. Or find a boutique like Bondurant with "above-market" pay ("above market" means for ATL specifically). Good luck!
