Hi,
Where is the best place to get volunteer experience for admission to law school? I was considering contacting my local member of Congress to volunteer. I haven't talked to any law firms or law enforcement agencies yet.

Re: Volunteer experience
What would you be volunteering for? Law firm experience? Something charitable?
If it's not law-related then you don't really get social service credit for your application. Anything other than grades/LSAT only works as a differentiator from someone with similar stats. Volunteer for study time for the LSAT - will give you the best payoff for your time.
If it's just for exposure to the legal environment then it won't really help unless you have practical exposure, like helping the paralegals (for example, seeing the process of how a pleadings are prepared and filed helps you gain a practical understanding).
