Too early to study?

Postby HerFavColor » Thu Aug 24, 2017 11:19 pm

Currently a senior but won't graduate until December due to me pursing a double major. I recently bought the LSAT Trainer and other books aiming to get a score of 170+. As of now I am eyeing the June next year, is it too early for me to be studying now?

No. It took me a full year of dedicated study to break 170.

Yes and no. Keeping up the momentum for 10+ is going to be grueling and you don't want to get burnt out.

I would suggest that you keep focusing on your GPA, as even a tenth of a point is going to be more beneficial than studying now.

However, I don't think it would hurt to familiarize yourself with the test and the material. If you have time, go through the book and get a feel for what you need to do. Maybe start *lightly* studying the logic games section for 2-3 hours a week, but really no more. You'll want to put 100% of your effort into your remaining classes.

January - June is plenty of time to study, and if you get a slight leg up by studying a little LG now, then all the better, but by no means make it a priority.
