Hey Y'all. Just stopped in to say Hi(in my fitz voice)!!! 7 days of studying.. well 5 for me. I'm excited for this test, feeling really confident. Good Luck Dec. test takers. We are going to god stomp this test!

I am starting to apply, but I am getting nervous because I don't have any Why X essays. What schools should I be writing these why X things for anyway?

I'm starting in the morning. I wrote them for all the schools I would really want to go to.

UVA and Penn are the most notorious for YP, but people also usually recommend writing them for UM, Duke, and one of the Georgetown optional essays.

Whatever you write for them, just make sure that it's sincere. I'm sure that after reading thousands of the things Adcomms are pretty good at detecting which ones are bullshit.

Didn't write one for Duke or GTown or UVA.

UVAs phone interview is one of the ways how they now decide whether to YP someone and I gave a compelling why UVA on the phone.

Would it be wrong for me to include in my why Upenn (current favorite lol) that I have familia that lives in Philly, and it would be cool to KNOW someone when you move your ass half way around the country?
