Most Tired/Overplayed Law School Comparison?
Which 'Should I go to school X or Y' threads are the most annoyingly overdone?
My nominations:
1. Harvard v. Yale
2. Columbia v. NYU
3. GULC v. Vandy/UT
Any other good candidates?

Seconded, and seconded. Unless you figure out a way to give me your t14 full ride, in which case, def go to H

That seems like too much rope. Never hung myself, granted, but I feel like 12 ft of rope has botched attempt written all over it.
Still better than AU.

No it is actually credited - if you do it properly, you have a good way to fall after jumping, so your neck breaks when you reach the end of the rope, which is a hell of a lot better way to go than choking to deathILoveYou wrote:That seems like too much rope. I'm probably a bad person for saying this but it's the peeps that get into Y/H/S get a Ruby, get a Darrow, get a Levy, get a free at C too and then are like where should I go, is Y really worth it? I just want to be like F you man. But then again, I'm probably a bad person.

No no those people are the worst. Right up there with the H/Y debate.L’Étranger wrote:I'm probably a bad person for saying this but it's the peeps that get into Y/H/S get a Ruby, get a Darrow, get a Levy, get a free at C too and then are like where should I go, is Y really worth it? Also re: being a bad person - literally the few posts before yours we were talking about suicide as an appropriate alternative to a low ranked law school. Perspective: now you have it.

Re: Most Tired/Overplayed Law School Comparison?
It's irrational on my part but anything asking about academia always troubles me. I guess because of all the zero value add professions connected to law school, professor is right at the very top of the list. Also, how do you know you want to be a law professor if you've never even taken a law school class? Because the "scholarship" you've read? Come on. Might as well say you want to be an illiterate chronically lazy windbag who suckles off the federal teat for 250K a year and tenure.
Now that I think of it that does actually sound like the dream.

Lol and seconded. Every single thread on Harvard v Anywhere with $$$$ always starts and ends the exact same way.sandwhich wrote:"Is a million dollar scholarship at a T10 worth not being able to go to the Harvard Club?"

Re: Most Tired/Overplayed Law School Comparison?
Any thread that contains better options than I had is annoying.
But I'll throw in SMU vs. Houston (and sometimes Baylor) because the answer is always the same: retake, go to UT, or don't go period >> pick living in Houston or Dallas/whichever is cheaper.
