GULC EA Applicants should be hearing back any time now, so I figured it's time for a 2021 thread.

Has anyone had any status checker updates or changes in program (i.e. from both to full or part time)?

Mine hasn’t changed, but it looks like in the past they’ve changed either on the 27th or 28th

Received an email asking for my summer plans. Anyone know what this means?

For 2020 transfers, did the status checker mailings section update before you got an admit email?

so weird it didn't happen yesterday - not sure how long more are we going to wait?

It’s weird that it’s taking so long… this is the latest EA decisions have ever been released. When I think “late April/early May” I assume that means by like May 5….

I still haven’t heard anything. My status checker hasn’t changed at all…

What’s the point of EA admission if it’s 90+ days after you applied? Doesn’t seem so “early” anymore, and I’ve had my hopes up in frustration for too long.

As another data point:

5/5 some people got summer plans inquiries

As of 5/5 at noon - no EA acceptances or deferrals have been released

Is it a bad sign if I never received an email asking about summer plans? I didn’t include it on my resume but I briefly disclosed my internship in my personal statement... heard some people were getting those emails even with their summer jobs disclosed on their resume.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. I’m well above their typical transfer GPA from a T50 school, and I didn’t get either email but notified them of my summer plans prior to those too.

Only time will tell I guess…

• Weds 4/28 some applicants got an email asking about summer plans & some status checkers updated to show a mailing was sent.
  Fri 4/30 STILL NO DECISIONS; everyone’s anxiety at all time highs.
  Tues 5/4 more emails inquiring on applicants summer jobs...
  As of today, Thursday May 6th there have been NO DECISIONS

2020:

• 4/8 some got feeler emails about summer plans
  4/22 more feeler emails about summer plans
  4/28 some status changes from both to full or part Thursday
  4/30 Notified via email between 11am-12pm
  4/30 deferral emails -after 12pm

2019:

• Fri 4/26 deferral emails
  4/28 status checker changes
  Weds 5/1 first letter acceptance
  5/15 $750 first Deposit deadline

2018: 11 calendar days, 7 business days

• 4/19 was apt.->apartment change
  4/27, user called and reported that "they specifically have not made any decisions yet"
  4/30 USPS trackers indicate GULC mail (some with 4/27 mailing date), backdoor access
  5/03 Deferrals

2017: 8-10 calendar days, 6-7 business days

• 4/20 first apt-apartment
  4/24 part-time/full-time indicators, most other address changes
  4/27 backdoor access
  4/28-30 letters received
  05/02 late acceptances/backdoor access
  05/03-04 later letters; acceptances through the summer for some who I guess got deferred

2016: 7 calendar days, 5 business days

• 4/15 apt->apartment
  4/19 part-time/full-time indicators
  4/20 backdoor access 4/22 acceptance e-mails with letters in mail
  4/28 deferral emails

2015: 6-8 calendar days, 4-6 business days

• 4/02 apt->apartment
  4/08 backdoor access
  4/08-10 letters
  4/13-15 deferral emails

2014: 9 calendar days, 7 business days

• 4/02 apt->apartment
  4/08-11 backdoor access
  4/11 letters

This is so frustrating.. I'm so sorry to future EA transfers if you have to deal with this nonsense and stress in the middle of finals

As of 12:30pm EST on FRIDAY MAY 7........ NO DECISIONS HAVE BEEN RENDERED

EA decision just came out. Got my deferral email at 2:39pm. Is there any data on what % of people who are deferred get accepted later? Does everyone who didn't accepted for EA just get deferred automatically?

2021 GULC EA DECISIONS! Finally!

Friday, May 7th

• Deferrals – sent via email around 2:40-2:45pm
  Acceptances – sent via email around 2:50-2:55pm
  Rejections – not sure if they were sent before or after but at least 2 reported being rejected

Personal Stats:
I was accepted. T25 school and 3.9 GPA with a summer job in the DC area. I received neither of the 2 feeler emails asking for summer job updates. As an accepted transfer student, my status checker still hasn't updated at all. There is no school tracking number or citizenship, and no mailings shown under the mailings section.

In via email at around 2:45 yesterday. 3.7low/~T80/Top 15%. Received the first summer plans email.

Did not expect to get in early admit. For future applicants, throw your hat in the ring!

Welp getting this years waitlist part started. Anyone else get their waitlist email this evening for regular decision?

When do they usually give out rejections? I didn't get a waitlist but I'm hopeful.
