My chances

Postby Keestar » Sat Feb 23, 2019 10:39 am

Hello TLS. My GPA is 3.25 Pharm-D. I honestly want to get in Harvard but do I really have a shot at it? I did my pharmacy from Pakistan but I am US citizen. Haven't given the lsat yet.

3.25 probably disqualifies you, although if LSAC summarizes transcripts like yours then you might get an "Above Average" or "Superior" and have a pretty good shot with the right LSAT score.

Only your undergraduate GPA counts. Your Pharm.D. GPA is irrelevant for law school admissions purposes. Did you receive your college degree in the U.S. or Canada, or at a non-U.S./non-Canadian university?

What are your goals out of law school?

You realize a PharmD is an actual professional doctoral degree in the states. So your undergrad degree probably isn’t equivalent to a doctoral degree, but more like a BS in Pharm.

How will lsac/law college's see my degree? Is it stem, does it give me any advantage? I ask this because I see 3.9+ GPA applying for Harvard and mine isn't anywhere near it.
