Hello all,

non-URM male, liberal arts college graduate intending to apply next cycle. Pretty good LORs, master's degree from respected institution, incredibly meh/run of the mill softs otherwise. My longterm goals are to work either in PI or national security/international law, and that is what my master's is in.

I'm below the GPA 25/50th for a fair number of schools, and there aren't a huge number of people on MyLSN with this situation. Ideally, I'd like to go to Columbia, Northwestern, NYU, Harvard, or (god willing) Yale. Anyone have any thoughts or advice on my chances at the t14?

Retake.

Or check MyLSN since, absent amazing factors to differentiate you, your cycle will likely be close to its prediction. Search with a GPA range a little blow and a tiny bit above your GPA so that you get enough results while remaining conservative.

Lol. I don't think a 181 will get him much further.

If you want to do international law and would consider going to Northwestern, why wouldn't Georgetown be on your list of schools? It is a top 3-5 school in international law. And, given its slightly lower overall rank, there is a decent chance you might get some money from Georgetown, which would help if you decide to go the PI route.

Yes, the point was that 180 is actually a perfect score. It literally isn't possible to score higher.

Use the summer to write all of your essays and apply to all of the top 14 schools you want to, plus to the state flagship law school at the state where you want to practice. Submit your applications on the first day that you can.
