Hey guys, what do you think are my chances? More info:
1)I went to a top LAC known for grade deflation, so my gpa might be perceived a bit higher (my advisor told me that the gpa of graduates from my school who go to hls or yls is only about 3.6).
2)My gpa was pretty low because I was messing around, but the professors who wrote my recommendation letters loved me. They all promised that they would write excellent letters.
3) my softs are these: chess master and president of chess club; pretty decent poker player. not much else

Judging by last year’s graph, extant but not good. The rest of your app should be flawless and be prepared to ride the waitlist while depositing to a safety.

They’ll matter more during the job hunt. I hope you get in, we have similar numbers. I’m just not really optimistic with Columbia_CoA wrote:Not sure if these matter but I'm fluent in Russian and Chinese. Know a lot of latin and ancient greek too.
