The score jump won't matter. Your chances at Chicago are great with a 3.9x/172. Still apply to the entire T13 so you can compare for your best option.

This won't be a problem at all; and I second the above: apply broadly. Your numbers are quite competitive. At Chicago, a $120k scholarship would not be surprising, and a Ruby isn't impossible.

Unless you are accepted with the Ruby, do attempt to negotiate any offer you receive; it works and Chicago is often very amenable to bumping.

ETA: do not ED. That would be a very bad decision with your numbers.

I'll just chime in and say congrats on the new score. You'll have a great cycle, no need to ED anywhere. I had a drastic score jump and saw the results one would expect for just the higher score, and most on here would say that this is typical
