3.94 GPA, 174 LSAT.. chances for HYS?

Post by MonicaYoung_LOL » Fri Nov 10, 2017 4:27 pm

Hi all,

I have applied to a lot of law schools and am hoping to know my chances... I am a Latinx/white woman at a top 15 LAC with a 3.94 GPA and a 174. I am trying to gauge whether or not I will get into HYS. My personal statement is strong, my letters of rec are presumably strong (know the profs very well), and I have pretty strong softs.

Here are the schools I applied to:

Harvard (def my top choice)
Yale
Stanford
Georgetown
Michigan
UVA
BU
GW
Cornell
Northwestern
Penn
NYU
Columbia
Chicago
Berkeley
Emory
American

I have already been accepted to Duke, Vanderbilt & WUSTL. I applied to all the other ones around October 15-18. Also, any thoughts on when I'd be hearing back by?

Thanks!

Good numbers aren't sufficient for YS, but you have as good odds as anyone. You're probably in everywhere else except maybe the schools that YP (UVA, Penn, Michigan),and that's if you didn't write any additional(compelling) essays. You'll probably get a full ride somewhere--seriously consider taking it

Wait, wouldn’t it be with the URM included (as opposed to excluded) in the chances list? OP said she was Latinx.
