Sub-3.0 GPA/177 LSAT super-splitter

Post by mariokoopa65 » Tue Aug 22, 2017 1:29 pm

Hey all,

Long story short, due to one particularly bad semester Freshman year, I am about to graduate from a T20 private undergrad with a 2.6-2.9 range. With in-state admissions privileges, do I have any shot at the top Virginia schools (primarily UVA/W&M/W&L, the latter two hopefully with enough scholarship to make it worth it)? I don't really have any desire for NYC biglaw, but would like to end up either in DC or VA biglaw (RVA born and raised). Are there any schools I should strongly consider other than those three?

Thanks in advance for the help!

If you haven't graduated yet take a look at what stalling your graduation to do some community college classes would do to your GPA. It might still be possible to bring it up.

That being said. Your cycle will be unpredictable. Apply early and broadly.

Outside of stalling you still have a chance at T14 schools with that LSAT. Work experience would definitely help though.
