3.3/164 AA Male
Yes, I will retake.
But assuming I don't score higher. I have average sifts. Been working for a few years.
Chances at Berkeley? Stanford? UCLA?
The T14 generally?

I think this is exactly what mylsn.info is for
and retake
edit: I checked it myself, and while there's not a lot of data points, essentially no one URM got into T14 with those numbers.

This is definitely wrong. AA URMs definitely have a shot at T14 schools with those stats. What are you talking about?Future Ex-Engineer wrote:I think this is exactly what mylsn.info is for

OP doesn't have a strong chance at Berkeley though. They prefer higher GPAs, even from AA URMs. Zero shot at Stanford, absent a 170 (and even then, I haven't ever heard of them biting with that low of an LSAT.) You'll probably pick up a few T14s.

Re: 3.3/164 AA Male
well if you go and put 164/3.25-3.5 into mylsn, and limit it to URM, it shows about 3 people out of 30-40 getting accepted to T14s.runinthefront wrote:This is definitely wrong. Edit: ah. I didn't put a range of LSATs in. interesting to see that lower LSAT candidates performed better

I disagree with the above. Just did a search and you have non-insignificant chance of getting a T-14. You should definitely retake if you feel you can score higher, but T-14s are a possibility with your stats. Stanford is out cuz of your gpa. Berk may also be out cuz of your gpa. UCLA and USC (moreso USC) are quite possible. The caveat is that these are your chances with your current stats. If you manage to crack 170+ then Berk could happen and Stanford is possible (although still a really outside chance of getting this one. Highly unlikely, but apply anyways! You never know till you try!).

One more question.
What do you all think of my chances at ED WashU.
If admitted ED, it's a full tuition scholarship.

AAs with your GPA get 100k+ scholarships to mid and lower tier t13s all the time with 166s. Just retake for two points and RD. Don't ED anywhere man.

Re: 3.3/164 AA Male
yeah, I would just retake to put yourself in an even better position. Washu is fine if you want that market and are fine with government and small law, but you can likely do significantly better with a slight improvement

Just one example here, but I got into several in the T14 with similar numbers, AA male. Don't be discouraged.AaronCarter wrote:Yes, I will retake.

Focus on the LSAT, but also focus on each element of your application, as they will take on more importance given your numbers. Curious what your work experience is. Happy to chat via PM too.

Do not ED to WUSTL. You have a good chance of getting accepted into a t-6 school. Your gpa is a little low for Stanford but you should only be looking at t-13 schools. PM me for more details.
