3.5/177 - worst case scenario?
I'll be applying next year with two years WE. Watching the forums, it looks like this has been a somewhat unusual cycle in the T14 and T1 more broadly. I'm gunning for money at CCN, but let's say everything breaks the wrong way- what's my worst case scenario?

Your worst case scenario is that you go to one of CCN at sticker over a large scholarship at a lower T14.Hstrat wrote:I'll be applying next year with two years WE. So there's no chance I get shut out of the T13? Barring some kind of C&F issue of course.Mullens wrote:Your worst case scenario is that you go to one of CCN at sticker over a large scholarship at a lower T14.Hstrat wrote:I'll be applying next year with two years WE. Re: 3.5/177 - worst case scenario?
I had a 3.47 180 with 2 years of w/e. Got in everywhere except H (got JS1 but turned it down), S (rejected), C (WL), and didn't apply to Y. Got a full ride offer from NYU and then other schools lower in the t14 responded with similar offers. Suspect if I had not gotten the full ride offer from NYU I would have gotten $$$ from the lower t14 still but probably not full rides. PM if you want to talk more.

Yea, you'll be fine dude. Short of something glaring not included so far in this thread, that 177 will go hard and you'll have several full or near-full offers from lower T-13s.Hstrat wrote: So there's no chance I get shut out of the T13? Barring some kind of C&F issue of course.
Next time this year you'll start a thread asking whether 100K is too much to pay for Columbia when compared to full-rides at Duke, Northwestern and Michigan. And the answer to that will be "yes" and "go to Duke".
Good luck!

I can live with that! Thanks for responding. I'll be sure to update the forum/LSN next cycle.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Yea, you'll be fine dude. Have a 3.52, 176 and I've been pretty happy. You'll gonna be fine, really don't worry.

Worst case scenario is multiple egregious spelling and punctuation mistakes in your PS combined with letters of recommendation describing you as the worst student he or she ever hadHstrat wrote:I'll be applying next year with two years WE. So let's say my LORs are mediocre (I'm pretty confident they won't be deliberately harmful) and I have some terrible typos on my PS. How far do you think I could fall?Moonraker wrote:Worst case scenario is multiple egregious spelling and punctuation mistakes in your PS combined with letters of recommendation describing you as the worst student he or she ever hadHstrat wrote:I'll be applying next year with two years WE. Why even post this lol. Just make sure your application is straight and you'll be in at T13s.

Re: 3.5/177 - worst case scenario?
Thank you to everybody for your responses. Looks like I've probably got a pretty good shot at money at T14, but I'll be sure to update here and on LSN after my cycle next year.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
