Ohio State gave me a fee waiver just for visiting
Stopped by, talking to an admissions person, took a short tour, and got a fee waiver. Don't know if this is standard policy, but I am inclined to think so.

Any school that does that should be avoided like the plague. There is a university in my state that hands out acceptances to high schools students based solely on their class schedule. No one has much regard for said school.dkb17xzx wrote:I got full scholarship to a school w/o applying.
OP, it's pretty standard. School visits and school fairs are great ways to acquire waivers.

Sounds like a lot of work for a fee waiver.

Stopped by their table for a few minutes at my university's law school fair and got a fee waiver. It seems that they apply the same theory most schools apply to scholarships; charge "money" then cut the price for many viable candidates to make them feel special and more likely to attend.JJ123 wrote:Stopped by, talking to an admissions person, took a short tour, and got a fee waiver. That being said, I like OSU, and there's a not insignificant chance I'm headed there next year!
