Stipends... how do they work?
If I'm given a 250 stipend, would I be able to cover me and a partners flight ticket? Or at least a king size hotel as long as its within budget? Are there specific restrictions? If there is a thread covering rules on visiting stipends please let me know!

it depends.
each school has different restrictions on what the stipend can be used for (flight, gas for driving, hotel etc). additionally, some schools will require receipts to get the reimbursement for your expenses; in those cases, hotel/gas would be fine, your individual ticket would be fine, ticket for your partner usually not.
