Just sent my app in, but I am really excited about CU, specifically their environmental/resource law programs. Post up if you are standing by.

CU's a reach for me but I'm hoping to get lucky!

RCharles, they are interesting in that it seems they don't have a hardline LSAT cutoff. They definitely take GPA into account, but it seems between 158-164 you are hit or miss. Anyone have any documentation that they actually take degree GPA into account when calculating index?

This is good news for me.

I went complete Friday; hopefully my work experience will make up for my sub-par GPA. Anybody know how much preference they give to in-state applicants?

I'll join the party.

We probably won't hear back until at least the end of December, judging from last year on LSN... le sigh. I kind of like that I don't have a status checker to check every day, however!!

Add me to the list of waiters. I just sent in my app. on Thursday. I went on vacation last year to Colorado and absolutely fell in love with the state, so I could definitely see myself living there both for law school and post grad.

Spoke to a nice lady who verified they received my certification letter and went complete today.

I'm waiting too!
I applied ED as I'm local and it's my first choice school, but I don't expect to hear back for several weeks.

Just curious, has anyone here also applied to DU?

I did, after a visit to the school. Deluxe digs.
And, bar passage rate up to 91% for this October.

Also, not sure what to make of this, but if it should be given weight, it's a good thing for DU, but not so much for CU:

Interesting although the ranking is based on the number of graduates listed in that particular publication. DU matriculates almost twice as many applicants as CU so I would hope they have more students recognized by the magazine.

Yep, you gotta take it for what it's worth.

But, class size at DU is around double that of CU, so it'd be interesting to see how many more than CU, wouldn't it? If DU had more than double number, that would be saying something. If it had less than double, well then...

Yes if the rankings were based on an equation that took into account the number of students graduated it seems like it would be more reliable.

That said, I grew up blocks away from DU's campus and I can say that Denver is a wonderful city and DU is certainly well respected there.

I was going to but I didn't want to write the specific essays it asks for; guess that's how they weed out people applying strictly as a safety school.

I applied to DU, but didn't submit the supplemental essays it asked for as a) I haven't written anything worth noting and b) my ps pretty much incorporates what supplemental essay 2 requires. As DU is more of a safety school I wasn't going to fret over it...ha hope that doesn't result in an automatic ding...

That'd give me a nice boost; have you heard something along those lines, or is it just wishful thinking?
