Who is considering UConn?! I've been admitted and COA is relatively low with scholarships, but I'm having a hard time making a final decision. Biglaw isn't necessarily my goal -- not sure I'd even be able to going to UConn. I'd be more than happy at a mid-sized firm, preferably near the NYC area.

Thoughts? Anyone else admitted to UConn c/o 2021??

Congrats on your acceptance! Accepted about a month ago, scholarship package sent about a week after acceptance (Deans Scholarship, 10k/yr).

Also accepted to some higher ranked schools, but the price for UConn is hard to turn down--I'm in state as well. Has anyone had any success with negotiations?

Congrats on your acceptance as well! I plan to visit Hartford on March 24 for the admitted student day. I received a similar scholarship offer and I am currently in the process of negotiating as well, but I haven't heard back. I agree--the COA at UConn is hard to turn down...

Waitlisted about a week ago..pretty bummed out. Anyone else on the waitlist/know if they pull people from it usually?

I'm considering it very much! I'm waiting on my acceptance in the mail but I expect $9-10k scholarship. Also I'm from the area and could probably squeeze out a few more months at home, saving on COL. It seems like a great school with great opportunities but I'm mostly worried about where I'd be able to get a job after graduation. Not sure if I want to work in Hartford or Springfield. I'd prefer to go closer to NYC or Boston. Definitely don't need to do biglaw, I prefer a mid-sized firm with a solid salary.

I was also waitlisted.. From what I've researched only about 20% of the people they give offers to attend. I've looked at other forums from years past and at one point they had admitted around 50 people from the waitlist. I'm contemplating writing a LOCI, but UCONN doesn't explicitly say if they want one or not. I'll probably wait until next month to send one anyways since that's when most schools start pulling off of the waitlists.

I applied regular decision as well and my application was received on November 11, 2017. I received an offer of admission via email on December 20, 2017, so the turnaround was quite quick. When did you submit your application?

Yeah I'd say the turnaround is ~1 month, maybe a little longer. Good luck!

Just checking in again. I still haven't heard from them. I applied end of February, complete on 3/2 and only went under review on 4/6. I'm right at their median in terms of both GPA and LSAT. Getting a little anxious. Is this a normal timeline? Is anyone else still waiting? Thanks!

I was waitlisted back in January. I've submitted a LOCI and additional LOR, but haven't heard anything yet (I snail mailed them). I read on a previous forum that the waitlist didn't move until June/July last year. But, as they say, no news is good news.

Has anyone heard anything about movement of the waitlist?

After several emails spanning several months, I emailed the admissions office today and was told that the Admissions Committee will be looking at wait list applications this week. So hopefully final decisions will be made throughout the week. Good luck everyone!
