Congrats! How did you hear?TLS wrote:IN!!!
They sent an email, I went back to check the status checker and it looks like it updates after the email is sent to "decision rendered"wmbuff wrote:Congrats! How did you hear?TLS wrote:IN!!!
Only if you don't think you'll get an even better competing offer by the Jan 20 deadline they gave. Otherwise, I'd wait it out so you give yourself the best shot and don't have to go back and try to haggle with Wake again.legallyblonde2021 wrote:In!! Do you guys think it’s best to send in competing scholarships ASAP?
That’s what I was thinking. This is my first acceptance that didn’t include the scholarship offer immediately, so it feels like I can’t even let myself be too excited yet ugh.TLS wrote:Only if you don't think you'll get an even better competing offer by the Jan 20 deadline they gave. When you receive your scholarship correspondence (probably around late January) it comes with a scholarship reconsideration form where you list your competing scholarships and they process it for you.legallyblonde2021 wrote:In!! Do you guys think it’s best to send in competing scholarships ASAP?
Legallyblonde was asking because the email advises admits to send competing offers before Wake send out their initial offers. Good to know if we don't we might get a second chance though!phwf20 wrote:When you receive your scholarship correspondence (probably around late January) it comes with a scholarship reconsideration form where you list your competing scholarships and they process it for you.legallyblonde2021 wrote:In!! Congrats! Wake is a great place to be. Any questions feel free to post here or pm mecadents wrote:IN as of yesterday. First acceptance of the cycle and Wake is high on my list!!! Ecstatic.
I am personally not super familiar with it, but we have an IP Journal at school and its definitely something the school is really proud of. The Journal has IP Lawyers as advisors from a wide array of law firms in NC. Here's an article posted by the school a couple years ago talking about IP at Wake. http://news.law.wfu.edu/2014/06/wake-fo ... -programs/Delta887 wrote:In as of yesterday! Is anyone familiar with the intellectual property offerings/employment outcomes for IP at Wake? Would love to practice IP in NC
Anecdotally the people I knew who had IP backgrounds did pretty well (granted, most of the people in the group also did well academically). Several went to biglaw firms or IP boutiques of some sort in places like the Triangle, Atlanta, etc., and at least one to Silicon Valley. But I think those prospects are generally better for IP people across the board.Delta887 wrote:In as of yesterday! I don't think so, I was in that first wave as well.legallyblonde2021 wrote:Does anyone know if they send acceptance packages in the mail? I was accepted in the first wave in December and never received anything.
I remember getting an acceptance package last year. I was also accepted in December, but I couldn't tell you when the package came.legallyblonde2021 wrote:Does anyone know if they send acceptance packages in the mail? I was accepted in the first wave in December and never received anything.
